Week 1:
This week, the instructor systematically outlined the semester's teaching structure and core tasks, emphasizing the central role of user experience in web design. We clarified the requirements for the first practical project—selecting five high-quality websites with improvement potential for in-depth analysis, with specific advice to avoid e-commerce and news websites to broaden design thinking. Through the teacher's detailed explanation, we acquired the necessary software tools, laying a solid foundation for subsequent learning.

Week 2:
The course focused on the core concept of "designing for user satisfaction." We delved into the iterative process of design thinking: from understanding problems and defining solutions to conceptualizing ideas, prototyping, and user testing—a cycle requiring continuous refinement. The session highlighted five key usability principles: maintaining interaction consistency, simplifying operational procedures, enhancing function visibility, providing immediate feedback mechanisms, and implementing error prevention strategies. Through group workshops, we analyzed practical applications of auditory, tactile, and textual feedback models using instant messaging apps as case studies.
Week 3:
We systematically distinguished between the Internet and the World Wide Web, understanding the standardized development logic of web pages based on HTML+CSS. The course focused on analyzing the visual hierarchy of web pages and the working mechanism of HTML markup language. Through hands-on coding exercises, we mastered the paired usage standards of element tags. By constructing complete page structures containing head information and visible content areas in code practice, we clarified the functional division of root element <html> and its child elements <head>/<body>, establishing a technical foundation for web development.

Week 4:
This week moved into practical website implementation, learning how to deploy web projects through the Netlify platform and mastering key processes of folder management and index file submission. When using Dreamweaver for development, we focused on practicing image path settings, responsive size configuration (percentage units), and the introduction and layout control of background images. In the table construction segment, we utilized table/tr/td tag combinations to create structured data displays and optimized border rendering through the border-collapse property, ultimately completing table designs that conform to content semantics.
I also further improved my website. Here is my project 2:
