Advanced Interactive Design(Exercise)

EXERCISE 1 I really love puppies, so my design was inspired by them. I used lines that are as rounded as possible to draw it, making it look cute and lively. I also added some blue accents to make the design more vibrant and colorful. Following the assignment requirements in Adobe Animate, I used Object Drawing Mode and placed all the parts that need to move (face, ears, decorations, body) on separate named layers, converting each part into a Movie Clip symbol by pressing F8. Finally, I named this healing-style robotic puppy 'Healy' and completed the .fla file for submission. I drew a sketch on ipad. Link to my project This assignment wasn’t as complicated as I thought it would be. Drawing the robot puppy was actually pretty fun; I made all the lines nice and round, so it looks really cute. I was a little confused at first when working with layers and pressing F8 to convert to a symbol, but once I figured it out, it became second nature. Seeing the finished product at the end ...

Advanced Interactive Design

Week 1  The final project for this semester is to create a thematic interactive website (microsite) around a specific concept, engaging users through interactive exploration. In class, Mr. Shamsul showed us some FWA examples, which gave me a clearer idea of what a microsite can look like. Our current tasks are to install Adobe Animate and prepare three ideas for the Task 1 proposal. I’ve come up with the following three directions. 1. About a Puppy I have a puppy myself, so I’d like to create a small scene set in a corner of a home, featuring my puppy as the main character. Items such as a food bowl, a leash, and a chew toy are scattered around. When the user clicks on different objects, the puppy responds accordingly: clicking the bowl makes the puppy come to eat; clicking the leash makes it spin excitedly. Behind each interaction, there is a simple piece of dog‑care knowledge (e.g., suggested daily walking time). The overall style is warm and hand‑drawn, aiming to resonate with d...

Advanced Modeling and Animation(Final Project) 7 October2025- 22 October 2025 LI YUHAN (0379857) Week 10 I sketched out a rough draft of the environment and began modeling it in Blender. My vision was for a more stylized, curved environment overall, since the two rides I designed in Project 2 were also quite abstract. I aimed to give the entire piece a cyberpunk + sci-fi aesthetic. The modeling process went smoothly; I completed it step by step using the Blender skills I had learned previously. Then I went to Bilibili to search for how to create a plush material and set up the material following the tutorial steps. Week 11 However, when it came to adjusting the materials in UE, I found it quite challenging—it's an area I'm not particularly skilled in. With my classmates' help, I finally managed to finish adjusting the materials and lighting. During class, I showed Mr. Duriraju my progress. He suggested brightening the ambient lighting since the installation was hard to see ...

Performative Media (Final Project)

Performative Media (Final Project) Performative Media ( Final Project) LI YUHAN / 0379857 Sonic Design / Bachelor of  interactive spatial design Week 10 This week we finally started working on the physical components of our final project! After group discussions, we realized our world-building needed more grounding, so we decided to refine the story setting first. My main task is sketching—turning the wild ideas from our discussions into tangible, visual concepts. We also need to smooth out the visuals in TouchDesigner. During our previous demo, Mr. Max mentioned the particles felt a bit choppy, the background was too busy, and the magic effects weren't clear. So after much experimentation this week, we settled on a pure black background to make particle trails and lighting more pronounced.  Mr.Max gave us some advide We also added a subtle background melody—like fairies gently plucking a harp—which softened the overall atmosphere considerably. Honestly, though, the thought of...

Interactive Design Final Project  21 November 2025 - 11January 2025 LI YUHAN (0379857) In Project 2 of the course, I designed a warm and elegant web interface for Bean Depart coffee shop using Figma. As the final assignment, I needed to bring this design to life through coding. After diligent work, I successfully completed this project in VSCode and now wish to share this journey from design to code. 1. Project Overview and Technology Selection This project is a brand website that integrates display, interaction, and information acquisition functions into a cohesive digital platform. The core pages include Homepage, Product Showcase, Service Menu, Brand Story, Customer Testimonials, and Contact Us. Each page serves a distinct purpose while maintaining visual and functional consistency throughout the entire website experience. Technically, I chose to use a pure native technology stack consisting of HTML5, CSS3, and Vanilla JavaScript, deliberately avoiding any frameworks or librarie...
